Although Nintendo has yet comment on  - if they are even considering it -  Peekaboo  Pole Dancing, a company that manufactures in home stripper poles (even endorsed by Carmen Electra!).  Peekaboo Pole Dancing, wants to release a Nintendo Wii game! Although the details are a little cloudy, the idea would be like Dance Dance Revolution but more along the idea of balancing on the pole for certain lengths of time etc., and clearly targeted towards single females that are looking for a Friday night laugh… with a few bottles of wine. (Hey! I see a cross promotion opportunity!)

Wii is primarily targeted towards kids, but does have a strong adult following as of yet...   Now, I’m sure there are a lot of people out there saying “I don’t want my kid learning how to be a stripper in my own living room”.  But would the game really be all that bad?  Would it be worse if other games out there have an  rating? Let’s make a pro’s and con’s list about this (I love making lists J, they bring so much clarity to all kinds of situations!)

Pro’s

·         Probably a better way to get your heart rate up then other Wii games.

·         The pole dancing game might actually make you a better dancer or at least give you a better sense of rhythm.

·         With a pole in your living room, it will be very hard for any kid to buy the game without a parent noticing.

·         The game will clearly not have any nudity or stripping in it.

·         The game certainly will not create violent tendencies that physiologists and the media love to blame on violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto.

·         The game appeals to a large number of the adult Wii gamers.

Con’s

·         Some kid might possibly learn how to swing around a pole better.
